30th August 2003 Windsurfing: Poole Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: force 2-3 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 25 Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: The begining of the week was showing a good forcast so booked into yha at Burley in the newforest. I was planning to sail at Mudeford harbour but as the forcast just got worse and worse I decide to head to Poole as Mudeford harbour and BIG fins don't mix well at all! Arrived at poole .........not a lot of wind. Went for a wobble about. I managed to get planening a few times with a lot of effort and pumping. The youth hostel was very good about 5 mins walk from the pub :) I did plan to sail on Sunday too but no wind so headed home before all the tourist clogged up the roads heading back home. |
